The village is filled with the aromas of hay and freshly brewed beer. Now and then, the birdsong of the brown tree pipit can be heard above the burbling of the village fountain. Further afield we hear bustling workers at the cheese dairy and Romansh discussions taking place at the village pub. Tschlin is a beautifully preserved, idyllic and remote Alpine village that is full of life. More so than any other Alpine village, this agricultural border community is characterised by the harmonious coexistence between man, beast and nature. The residents of Tschlin are incredibly cooperative, tackling tasks together and making the most of opportunities with great passion for environmental protection and authenticity, always for the benefit of the community and its visitors.
