Hiking in the Engadin means getting out and about in unspoilt nature. Unfortunately, not every hiking trail is wheelchair accessible. However, here you will find all the information you need to get around as barrier-free as possible. Enjoy the proximity of meadows, forests and winding rivers on selected hiking trails.

With a Swiss-Trac, an all-terrain wheelchair or a strong companion, many things are also possible in the mountains. Here you will find barrier-free tours that can be a great challenge.

Via a l'En

The hiking trail connects Scuol and Sur En. Surrounded by an impressive mountain panorama, the route takes you along Engadine meadows until you change sides of the river and enter the forest.

JST Mountaindrive Wheelchairs

Thanks to the Stiftung Cerebral, two JST Mountaindrive wheelchairs have been purchased in Scuol. The wheelchairs are available at the valley station of the Scuol mountain railways at Engadin Adventure. The range of the wheelchair depends very much on various factors. These include the day's temperature, the altitude metres, but also the driving style and the weight of the person in the wheelchair. We have designed the tours so that the battery life brings you safely back to the starting point.

Attention: The JST very quickly tempts you to deviate from the tours and explore the Engadine on your own. Please always think about the way back!

Inclusiun Sportiva

Don't want to hike alone? Then the Inclusiun Sportiva association is the right place for you. True to the motto «together instead of alone», the association offers guided hiking tours in the Engadine.

The programme is aimed at people with and without disabilities who want to meet up with others for a sporting activity.
